My love affair with denim runs deep. I literally wear jeans with everything. They are the ultimate staple - the nucleus of my wardrobe.
Since I live in jeans, I tend to reinvent my looks by styling them differently. Cuffing is a great way to do this. You can pretty much cuff any of your denim, whether the goal is to shorten the length or make your outfit look more effortless.
A few simple cuffing techniques allow you to quickly refresh your look while showing off your cute shoes in the process. So if you want to know how it’s done, just keep scrolling.
THE SINGLE CUFF
This cuff is as easy as it gets with a quick flip of your hem. You can either fold up the bottom a little or go for something more exaggerated.
Best With: Skinny, Straight, Wide-Leg or Boyfriend Jeans
Harder With: Flared Jeans
Get The Look:
Simply fold up the bottom of your jeans once.
Determine the cuff's length by the look you’re going for and the type of shoe you’re wearing.
For a smaller cuff, turn up only the hem—i.e., the very bottom of the pant leg where the material is a bit thicker
For a more exaggerated cuff, turn up the bottom of the pant leg several inches

ROLLED OR DOUBLE FOLDED CUFF
Both of these looks are similar but require a slightly different approach to create. A Rolled Cuff is a bit more relaxed, while the Double Folded Cuff tends to be more even and uniform.
Best With: Straight or Tapered Jeans
Harder With: Skinny, Flared or Super Wide-Leg Jeans
Get The Look:
A Rolled Cuff requires jeans that are a little looser around the ankle.
Fold jeans to create a 1/2 inch to 1-inch single cuff.
Continue to roll up again in 1/2 inch to 1-inch rolls until you land on a good length, usually right above the ankle bone. The messier, the better.
A Double Folded Cuff will work on many jean styles but looks best with a straighter leg.
Fold jeans to create a 1/2 inch to 1-inch single cuff.
Fold the jean up a second time, then smooth out and make sure it is even from front-to-back. The neater, the better.

THE UNDONE CASUAL CUFF
The undone cuff is best slouchy and not perfect or deliberate. As such, this cuff may look slightly different each time you wear it.
Best With: Skinny or Straight/Boyfriend Jeans
Harder With: Wide-Leg, Tapered or Flared Jeans
Get The Look: see how-to images below
Start by making a single 4 inch folded cuff.
Bunch the bottom of the cuff to create relaxed folds.
Finish by folding only part of the top hem downwards, so the cuff remains a bit uneven and messy looking. Shift and adjust folds as desired.
