Wardrobe Concierge, The Fashion Fix - A quick fashion fix for when you need something for an event or occasion, or if you just want something new. If you are short on time and ideas, or need help hunting down the latest street style obsession, this one is for you.
Virtual Styling - Jean’s Seasonal Edit curates key pieces combining multiple clothing categories like tops, bottoms, dresses, outerwear, shoes, accessories. Jean spends time getting to know you via a quick, but detailed Style Survey and one-on-one phone/video calls. She creates a mood board representing your style goals then guides you through your seasonal edit via private Pinterest Board with shoppable links.
Q: For the Virtual Styling Essentials Package, how much one-on-one time is spent speaking with Jean?
A: This package provides time for several phone/video calls with Jean occurring at key points of the virtual styling process: 1) After you’ve completed the Style Survey, before Jean begins concepting your new wardrobe 2) After you’ve received your customized mood-board to confirm direction 3) After you have received your shoppable Pinterest Board to give you the opportunity to discuss options with Jean. 4) Lastly, a wrap up call with to answer any questions about your final picks. You are fully supported throughout the virtual styling process.
Q: What is the best way to prepare for a call with Jean?
A: To maximize your call, a little prep works wonders. After completing the Style Survey, which should take 15-20 minutes, there are a few other things you might want to do before your call.
It may be helpful to discuss recent purchases (good or bad). Pull your last few clothing purchases so they are easily accessible during the call.
Continue to think about the goals you want to achieve and you can pull out an outfit you absolutely love so you can tell and show Jean why it appeals to you.
Make a preliminary budget if you’d like - you should feel comfortable being upfront with the amount of money you want to spend updating your wardrobe.
Identify upcoming events you’re attending so they’re top of mind when discussing your wardrobe needs.
Q: How long will I have to wait to receive my fashion picks?
A: It depends on the service. For Wardrobe Concierge, most styling selections can be turned around in 5-7 days. For the 5 Seasonal Essentials Package, Jean will confirm during your initial call.
Q: How do I purchase the items Jean has suggested for me?
A: Either you will receive direct links or a shoppable Pinterest Board from Jean via email. Just simply click on the items you are interested in to connect you to the online retailer for purchase.
Q: What happens if my style selections are not available when I go to purchase them from an online retailer?
A: All shopping links will be sent with items in stock and available in your size but Jean cannot guarantee how long inventory will last. Jean sources items from popular retailers however sometimes smaller, unique retailers will be included. If items are sold out within 24 hours of receiving your email from Jean, she will do her best to hunt down a substitute.
PERSONAL SHOPPING
Q: Can you shop for me or do we go together?
A: For Personal Styling, you pick! Jean will shop for you and bring items to your home/office or she will shop with you.
Q: When we go shopping, how long is our shopping trip? How many stores do we go to?
A: Shopping sessions typically last between 3-5 hours. Jean strategically creates a shopping itinerary that typically includes a focused 1-3 stores. Some clients may require multiple sessions, depending on their specific wardrobe needs.
CLOSET STYLING
Q: How long does an in-home consultation take?
A: The initial consultation will take an average of 20-30 minutes depending on what services you are interested in. Jean will spend time getting to know you by discussing your wardrobe preferences and challenges, along with your current lifestyle.
Q: How long does the closet styling process take?
A: It depends on the work that needs to be done, however it can range anywhere from a half-day to a couple of days. Since every person, closet and amount of clothing involved is unique, it is difficult to determine exactly how long the session will take, although she can provide an estimated time-range during the initial consult.
Q: How involved will I be in the process?
A: For Wardrobe Edit & Styling services, you will be actively involved as it is necessary to review and decide the fate of all of the items in your closet. Organizing and Closet Merchandising is all Jean, however she will walk you through the system and methodology of how things are arranged and organized so it will be easy for you to maintain.
Q: Do I need my closet to be clean before Jean comes?
A: Absolutely not. Jean looks past any clutter and only sees the possibilities of what will be. She understands that those "bursting at the seams" closets are impossible to maintain and is there to help.
Q: What should I do with all the items that I don’t want?
A: Depending on the condition of the items, they can be donated or sold at a local consignment shop. Jean has numerous contacts at various consignment shops and can help to coordinate this process.
GENERAL
Q: What are your rates?
A: A consultation with Jean is complimentary and all services are based on a daily rate, which will be discussed during the consultation. Payment by cash, check or Venmo is requested at the time of service.
Q: Where do you work? How far do you travel?
A: Jean is able to travel to most locations within NY and CT. There is a small surcharge for projects requiring 1 hour or more of travel time each way.
Q: Can I check client references?
A: Of course. References can be provided upon request.
Q: Do you offer Gift Cards?
A: We offer Digital Gift Cards via email. Our styling and closet organization services make great gifts!
